Due to my needing my happilyeverafterteas.com email address, I have switched back to a self-hosted WordPress after being on Tumblr for less than a month. I was so excited about being there too. Oh well.

I am in the process of sorting some of my favorite WP plugins out, but that shouldn’t be too hard.I know exactly what I want. :)

My HEAT tumblr is going to be used for tea quotes instead, rather than abandoning it. I’ve got over 100 queued up right now, so if you want to donate content (photos, quotes, whatever you fancy), please feel free to submit there. I’ll be glad to post them.

HEAT is still an idea in my head right now. But I’m not going to give up. Hopefully the economy will be somewhat more welcoming to entrepreneurs within the next few years. I’m willing to wait, even if it takes another 10 years. Then I’ll get going. For now, I’m going to stay the course and research, research, research. :)

Just wanted to let you know that I’m not dead. :)

A few observations I have made so far. A lot of the entrepreneur literature I’ve been reading assume that you live in the place that you plan to open your business. Imagine if I tried to open an independent tea store in this desert wasteland, haha. I am more than inspired to a) stay where I am, save money, move back and open the store, or b) find a job that will bring me back to Nor Cal, and allow me to save up money in the meantime until I can get the store open. C is give up, which is not going to be an option! I am resolute in that.

I signed up for About.com’s retail guide newsletter. I printed out a ton of articles from it that need to be consumed and studied. I was peeking at the information as I printed it out, and it was truly fascinating, no sarcasm intended. As with anything meant to educate, it can be modified to fit your own needs, which is always useful. I am waiting until I get some free time, so I can read up on it and see what could be applied to HEAT.

Welcome!

In case you didn’t already know, I am collaborating with Art by Terrauh to develop a logo that will serve as the frontispiece on the storefront, as well as online.

How does the site look so far? Obviously it’s a little barebones right now, but I will definitely be adding more to it as I go.
